On October 17, 2019, Ho Chi Minh Department of Tourism organized a conference connection to stimulate HCM tourism with Mekong Delta provinces & cities. Thereby, it will create linkages, cooperation and development between tourism enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta provinces & cities; closely co-operates with bilateral relations, creates new, diversified and high-quality tourism products suitable for each tourist.
In the afternoon of October 17, 2019, the semi-finals of the first contest "Design and exploit tourism program in eco-tourism and agriculture"  at Ho Chi Minh City took place with the bustling of the contestants. The examiners has selected six best agricultural & eco-tourism programs to start surveys and continue to compete in the Ranking Finals round.
People’s Commitee of District 5 cooperated with Grab and Outbox Consulting to launch the project "Cho Lon Food Story". Different from previous culinary projects, Cho Lon Food Story is a project with a popular image, closely brings the story of not only dishes but also of long-time chefs to visitors and the community. It is promised to create a special impression for cuisine in particular and tourism in general of District 5 - especially Cho Lon.
